It was only hours after the shipping of the Verizon iPhone's that the Chronic Dev Team released the newest version of Greenpois0n. The release is intended to jailbreak the brand spankin' new Verizion iPhone 4. I give props to chronic dev on this one, being the first to put the opportunity out there. If i bought the phone, i would definitely jailbreak it. anybody have thoughts on this?

New Android Market Web app blocking rooted users.

Source: Engadget
So i am in love with my android phone, as I've said before. I believe the android platform is way more versatile than it's competitors (iphone, blackberry, etc) I also believe in extreme customization. So, like alot of android users, i rooted my device and loaded a custom rom (Cyanogen Mod 6) The only downside to doing this (besides potentially bricking your phone) is not getting access to all of the Over the air updates from google.

The Verizon iPhone (You knew this was coming)

Source: Engadget

Now since i am a big android fan i was iffy on deciding whether i should talk about the Verizon iPhone or not. I have had my Motorola Droid (Overclocked & Rooted running Cyanogen Mod 6) for over a year now and still love it. In my opinion, the ever-changing open source greatness that is the android OS is superior to the stale iphone OS. Buuuuut, that's not what this post is about so on to the iPhone. I am on the Verizon and like others, know it is better than AT&T. It's about time they finally put the iPhone on Verizon. But not only is it being put on the network, some of the hardware and software is also getting a few upgrades of itself. Some of the new features are:
  • Personal Hotspot (Set up your on WiFi modem)
  • Mute and Volume Controls slightly shifted
  • Obviously better sound reception and quality
