It was only hours after the shipping of the Verizon iPhone's that the Chronic Dev Team released the newest version of Greenpois0n. The release is intended to jailbreak the brand spankin' new Verizion iPhone 4. I give props to chronic dev on this one, being the first to put the opportunity out there. If i bought the phone, i would definitely jailbreak it. anybody have thoughts on this?Qik Techhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968156221191341688noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2761984341552924053.post-25191599667724888762011-02-05T12:55:00.001-06:002011-02-05T12:56:24.241-06:00New Android Market Web app blocking rooted users.

So i am in love with my android phone, as I've said before. I believe the android platform is way more versatile than it's competitors (iphone, blackberry, etc) I also believe in extreme customization. So, like alot of android users, i rooted my device and loaded a custom rom (Cyanogen Mod 6) The only downside to doing this (besides potentially bricking your phone) is not getting access to all of the Over the air updates from google.
And recently with the release of the new android market web app, some root users haven't been getting access to it. I have experienced the same problem. It's not recognizing my device which is frustrating. This is only a minor frustration but still frustrating nonetheless. Is anyone else rooted and experiencing the problem?
Now since i am a big android fan i was iffy on deciding whether i should talk about the Verizon iPhone or not. I have had my Motorola Droid (Overclocked & Rooted running Cyanogen Mod 6) for over a year now and still love it. In my opinion, the ever-changing open source greatness that is the android OS is superior to the stale iphone OS. Buuuuut, that's not what this post is about so on to the iPhone. I am on the Verizon and like others, know it is better than AT&T. It's about time they finally put the iPhone on Verizon. But not only is it being put on the network, some of the hardware and software is also getting a few upgrades of itself. Some of the new features are:
<ul style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Personal Hotspot (Set up your on WiFi modem)

Mute and Volume Controls slightly shifted

Obviously better sound reception and quality

<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There is not any drastic changes from the AT&T model, but it's a cool little upgrade from it. I am definitely not gonna go out and buy this <strike>brick</strike> phone, but maybe you are into the iPhone and will!
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I hope this wasn't too biased ;)

<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">For just $349 dollars and a little elbow grease you could have yourself a sleek and retro looking arcade cabinet! All you have to do is order the kit and you can transform your netbook into this cool looking gadget and impress your friends!
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">It's a DIY project that does require a little know-how, but all of the steps to assemble the thing are on the product's website. In my opinion 350 dollars is a little too much for just a kit, because you also have to buy the netbook. But for all you extremo nerd pacman fans this should be exactly what your looking for!
